Kia Ora New Zealand!

Hey guys,

My name is Lisa and I am doing my study abroad semester in New Zealand in the city of Dunedin. My plane took off on Monday evening and I arrived on Wednesday the 22th of June in Dunedin. It was a long and exhausting flight and I was so happy to make my first steps on New Zealand's ground.

For the first days I am living with a couple that I know from Germany. Lucky me! It made everything very easy for me in the first days. Yesterday Tina took me to her primary school where she is working.  It was very interesting to see how the school system in New Zealand works because it is so different to that in Germany. They working in very small groups and it feels like home. The kids do not wear shoes and the classroom has carpet. So crazy...
In the evening I met the family of Josh, Tina's husband. We had dinner and I felt very welcomed. All the people I speak to are very open minded and excited to learn some German words.

I will now leave to see Dunedin for the first time. Tina and Josh are living in a smaller city near by Dunedin, so I will take the bus to go there. I am very excited to see where I will live for the next month.

That where my first days in New Zealand, more coming soon... :-)

E noho ra!
